When moving teeth, seasoned clinicians share a common experience; when teeth are moved they don’t always behave as expected. What’s with that? Are these problems peculiar to the pre-adjusted orthodontic appliance? Are these engineering problems? Or, are these problems of simple dental vengeance?  It’s possible that the teeth involved have a deep-seated hatred of the doctor. When treating deep over-bites these annoying occurrences increase treatment time for the patient while simultaneously triggering gastrointestinal distress for the doctor and patient...bummer.
Applying simple techniques, without the purchase of additional supplies and absent the need for patient cooperation, this “hands-on participation” presentation will address the fascinating and simplified clinical correction of deep over-bites in the permanent dentition.  In addition to a number of educators, recognition is due Dr. Robert Isaacson for the development of these clinically useful materials and methods.
Clinical learning objectives:
• Clinical examples showing why and when the “pre-adjusted” appliance won’t always work and what to do about it.
• Detailed, simplified hands-on clinical techniques that require no patient compliance.
• Nothing extra to buy – techniques use ordinary arch-wires.
• Feeling smart, cool, and confident in today’s ultra competitive market

3 Hours CE Credit - Note to the viewer*
