Founded by Dr. Gerald S. Samson in 1982, (g)nathos, inc. provides continuing orthodontic education to health professionals who are seeking an increased level of sophistication in the delivery of orthodontic care for their patients. Considering the large scope encompassed by the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, the specific attention in the (g)nathos organization is on the “growing” patient. Dr. Gerald Samson is a 1975 graduate of Marquette University
Dental School. He completed pediatric dental
residency in 1979 at Emory University
under the direction of Dr. Ed. Hibbard. He went on to complete an orthodontic
residency in 1981 under the direction of
Dr. Harold T. Perry at Northwestern University Dr. Samson has lectured extensively and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of The American College of Dentists. He has been the featured speaker for numerous regional, national, and international meetings in the United States, Mexico, Australia, and Asia. In addition to orthodontic private practice, Dr. Samson is an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Associate Professor at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Case Western University Department of Orthodontics, and at St. Louis University Department of Orthodontics. He is a visiting lecturer for orthodontic post-graduate programs at 8 universities in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and China. In addition, having a special interest in simplified orthodontic mechanics, Gerry reviews mechanics articles submitted to The Angle Orthodontist.
